YOUR LOCAL NOTEBOOK

So, everyone is a victim of this (well maybe not everyone), you peruse Etsy for a gift for your Mom for mother's day, you get side-tracked, you start searching for travel stuff. Yes. That's what happened to me.

There has been a recent trend of "localizing" Moleskine notebooks so that they are more personalized for their users. People have started to screen print anchors, globes, dogs, cats, worms...pretty much anything that you like. Here's what I like though...airports...and Moleskines. Oh no! Enter:jetsetpaper. An Etsy shop that customizes Moleskine notebooks with your home airport (or whatever airport you want to be your home) on the covers. They take the 3-letter airport code (i.e. LAX, JFK) and stamp them on the front, with or without an airplane above it.

So what you do is you specify the airport code and area/country code that you'd like (oh yeah you get 4 hand printed area code note cards to use as well) and they will print them up for you. The great, unique thing is, they cannot guarantee upper or lower case letters, so no two printings will ever be the same. Pretty cool.

Order some up! They're only $8.50 a piece and no one else is bound (see that pun?) to have one. Unless they take our advice and more than one person gets LAX in which case that last point is null and void. Oh well. Be local! Pick your home airport! Pick an airport that doesn't get enough press! Pick your favorite airport! For me I'm getting ORF (Norfolk, VA...an unsung hero) and I'm sure Lindsey will get LHR or CDG or some random airport in Hungary. Sheesh.
